| GZ Hash - Run 898, Aussie Hash, 18th August 2007 | ||||
Could it be? The Hash Trash is done before the Photos?? Hash Scribe Hong has set a new record of beating the photos! Aussie Aussie Aussie! Oi Oi Oi!!! G’DAY MATEES!!! The day started with slow but steady pace of people rockin’ up to good old Sportmans – it was a fine selection of True Blue hashers with 3 new comers (LTTB of Germany, Chanel of Holland and Lawrence the native). The crowd was mustered onto the ride and we were off at a prompt 2:08pm. Despite the sweltering 36.5˚C heat the ride was comfy and smooth – we were however rudely interrupted, the bus pulled up roadside and we picked up some half naked eye-Candy, good thing she made up for it by showing off her stuff in the back seat. Outback, MushMouthBack As per usual, we find ourselves starting the Hash in the outskirts of Guangzhou - amongst a local orphanage in the Long-Dong region. The standard rules of engagement (and a few Aussie add ons) were laid out and then the race was SUPPOSEDLY on – for the first time ever in GZH3 history everyone were stunned mullets. Upon their awakening, all were mustered up by Blue Balls and they headed en-route to one of the longest false trails ever!!! Of course the well experienced and intelligent ones (Soggy, Pippy Uglystockings and Hong ) awaited the hashers return. Upon which Boxy Pussy rocks up in a cab and is absolutely delighted as she thinks that everyone has cum back to the starting point just for her. We all re-grouped and started back at square one. It wasn’t long till we were off the cemented paths and into nature’s finest. The paths were nicely shaded and meandered along fresh water streams and springs. After a few more nasty false trails and not so few complaints we made it up to the Great Aussie Hash Halt where Hong showed off his culinary skills by prepping Vegemite Sangas whilst icy-cold beers were finely distributed. For many, the famous 1923 Vegemite was tried and tested for the first time, for some, especially our Xin Jiang Florence it had to be tried not twice or thrice, but four times. The extra vitamin B must have given her the natural high and in no time she was on her bike, but for others it was a slow and painstaking return to the finish line - though all that was left was a slippery ridge top stroll, a few steps to the mountain base and a sprint down the local road to the park’s arc. Upon the entire Hare’s (Blue Balls, Pippy Uglystockings and Hong) finish, a head count was issued, we did well and only lost a handful – after a bit of a head scratch it was concluded that Blue Balls Notorious Runner’s trail must have hindered the hasher’s return. Nevertheless after a few rounds of beer the late comers safely came through. For the finale Circle it was the return of Soggy, the all mighty RA -- after a quick intro of the newcomers Soggy had to unleash his tensions and down downed just about everyone on the hash – because… Down Down #1: GZH3 is now in debt due to his lack of presence Down Down #2: Jealousy got the better of him coz he wasnt able to attend the party of the Century at Filthy’s. Down Down #3: His pad was an official hotel room. Down Down #4: He’s had bad breath for the past week as his toothpaste went walkabout.  Since it was an Aussie theme the Hares had not only set the trail but hid Aussie animals (Kangaroos, Koalas, Emus, Wombats, Crocs and Platypuses) trackside. The aim of this little exercise was to collect as many as possible. Two hashers tied at 16 grabs each and by the power vested in Pippy a prize was awarded – just not to neither one of the winners???? Accusations were hard to come by this week but the circle was saved by weather reports, eye opening Aussie quiz questions, Aussie lamingtons, Aboriginal nipple paintings and Allison’s talents on the didgeridoo. However it was the Rain Gods that had the last say and in no time we were all hustling for the return seat back to Guangzhou. It was the best hash EVER!!!! Congratulations - All HASH #898 attendees are now Ozzified!!
